Srinagar, Sep 18 (KNO): Commuters and residents in Parimpora area of Srinagar here have complained of facing severe traffic congestion as according to them the local buses and Smart City buses frequently stop at multiple points, causing chaotic road conditions.
Locals say these buses often halt without ‘dedicated stops’ to pick up passengers, leading to frequent traffic snarls.
“It’s an ongoing issue. These buses stop at multiple points, causing traffic to choke repeatedly. What usually takes 10 minutes now takes half an hour or more,” said Nazir Ahmad, a daily commuter, speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Another resident added that the problem is affecting not only commuters but also local businesses. “People are frustrated, and authorities need to address this immediately. Traffic remains clogged for hours,” they said.
The continuous unscheduled stoppages are raising concerns over traffic management in Parimpora, particularly during peak hours when both vehicular and pedestrian movement is heavy—(KNO)
